New York-based social media marketing platform Offerpop has introduced an app through which marketers can launch mobile-ready polling campaigns on Facebook, in order to capture data about their 'fans'.Offerpop's platform runs social media marketing campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, mobile devices and web sites. The new app allows marketers to set up a poll in minutes, and can add custom forms to capture data about campaign participants, including e-mail addresses and opt-ins for future communications.
As soon as brands publish a campaign, the new poll app launches a real-time report and begins tracking program metrics such as unique visitors and fan growth, while collecting details about the audience's opinions and interests. Users can then export this user data into Excel with just one click.
Prakash Mishra (pictured), CTO and co-founder of Offerpop, says the new app is part of his firm's 'mission to leverage Facebook's newest guidelines and features, enabling brands to run results-driven social media campaigns'. He adds: 'The app helps marketers improve the reach of their campaigns by creating viral stories, resulting in bigger social and e-mail audiences.'
