Patrick Dodd has been appointed as Managing Director of Nielsen China, based in Shanghai, with responsibility for all business activities across the region.
Dodd joined the company in 1990, and has since held a number of senior roles including President of Consumer Europe, Group MD for Central Europe, and President for Canada, when he was also responsible for the firm's North American marketing strategy. Before joining, Dodd held sales positions with a major Canadian-based food manufacturer.
In his new role, he reports to Yan Xuan, President of Nielsen Greater China, who says the appointment 'reflects Nielsen's commitment and focus on the fast-growing and dynamic China region'. He adds: 'Patrick's tremendous experience and his track record of exceeding expectations in his prior roles will bring precious experiences to our efforts to help our clients drive success in the region.'
