US analytics software firm Prosper Technologies has appointed former Authentic Response CEO Jim Follett as Strategic Advisor for its InsightCenter platform, which integrates data from various sources and helps users to predict markets and understand consumer segments.Prosper develops SaaS-based applications for managing and analyzing data and for creating insight-based data applications for web and mobile devices. These tools are used for forecasting consumer demand, allocating marketing dollars, tracking consumer behavior, and understanding shopping patterns. In addition, the firm's InsightCenter can be licensed as a shell in which companies supply their own data and algorithms, and/or pre-packaged with information from Prosper's 'data vault', which houses millions of market and consumer data points.
Follett (pictured) joins from sampling and data collection provider Authentic Response, where he was CEO, a role he earlier held at SSI. Before this he worked in senior roles at NOP Worldwide, Information Resources, Inc., and client side at Nestle Waters (Perrier), Cadbury Schweppes (Motts), General Foods and P&G.
In his new role, Follett will help information clients use the InsightCenter platform to extend their current data offerings, and professional services firms use it to create analytic capabilities.
CEO Gary Drenik comments: 'Jim's broad industry and leadership experience makes him the perfect executive to drive these strategic discussions regarding our licensing business. He knows the marketing information industry like the back of his hand, and this knowledge coupled with his passion is essential in seeking out the most favorable relationships for Prosper Technologies' solution-driven technology.'
