In the UK, Mathew Francis has returned to health and wellness market researcher Zaicom Research Plus (ZRP) as Research Director, while David Williams has joined as Business Development Director of parent company Zaicom International.
Set up in 1998, Zaicom International focuses on the communication of complex science and insights to the healthcare sector. The group comprises Zaicom Healthcare, Exemplar CE, Zaicom Consulting, Spectrum Regulatory Solutions, and ZRP which offers advanced techniques and methodologies such as psychographics, heuristics, LAB profiling, ethnography, transactional analysis and root cause analysis.
Francis re-joins ZRP with more than 20 years' market research experience, including fifteen years in the healthcare sector. Most recently, he served as Global Director of Consultancy at E-Tabs, prior to which, he was Commercial Director at ZRP, in charge of the European and US business development, project delivery, and client management teams. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Healthcare at GfK, Director of Healthcare at Harris Interactive, and he held senior research and project management roles at Advanced Medical Optics, Strategic Marketing Corporation, Hoechst Marion Roussel, and Nielsen.

Williams joins Zaicom International with more than two decades' experience in healthcare. For the past five years, he has run his own medical marcoms consultancy 3C Strategy, prior to which, he was Director of Business Development at Quintiles Medical Education and at InVivo Communications. Earlier, he worked for Ogilvy Healthworld and Vismed, and he began his career as a scientist with Liverpool Area Health Authority, before moving to Roche/Napp/Lundbeck.
