Miami-based healthcare analytics and insights specialist QualMetrix has acquired Visual Intelligence's (VI) healthcare analytics platform for an undisclosed sum.Based in Newtown Square, PA, VI offers clients a range of analytics and advanced data visualization services, plus data center hosting. Co-founder Dan Rider says the sell-off will his firm to focus resources on its other disciplines of social media and CRM analytics, business strategy consulting and solution hosting.
According to QualMetrix CEO Adam House (pictured), the transaction expands the company's capabilities and client offerings, which are used to profile providers, patients and diseases. He adds: 'This acquisition provides us with an expanded platform as a service (PaaS) framework with VI's portal integration solution, existing customer and partner relationships, skilled offshore product development resources, and HIPAA hosting and infrastructure services'.
