In the UK, Katariina Hannelius has left specialist recruiters RPCushing after almost nine years, to set up her own consultancy, Hannelius Recruitment, focused on the market research sector. Former colleague Inger Christensen joins her.
Before joining RPCushing, Christensen worked at data collection firms Perspective Research Services, now part of BDRC Continental group; and Field Facts, which was sold to WorldOne three years ago. Hannelius spent seven years in the wooden flooring business, dealing with residential and commercial clients, then did a postgraduate diploma in Human resource management and moved into recruitment.
The new company will work on all market research roles including full service and data collection - the latter a specialist area for Hannelius herself - and will aim to establish a true partnership with clients, 'helping companies to plan for their future and have a real understanding of the industry and the issues affecting it'.
Hannelius says of the decision to set up on her own: 'I love my job and do not want to do anything else for the rest of my life, so it was a natural move for me to set something up myself - and I am absolutely delighted Inger has joined me.'
