Facebook has acquired an Indian tech start-up firm called Little Eye Labs, which develops mobile app performance monitoring and analysis tools. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although analysts are suggesting it could be valued at up to $15m.Founded in 2012, Bangalore-based Little Eye Labs is Facebook's first acquisition in India. The company's eponymous tool enables Android developers and testers to measure, analyze and optimize their app's performance.
Following closure of the deal, the entire Little Eye Labs team of seven staff will move to Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Subbu Subramanian (pictured), Facebook Engineering Manager, commented: 'The Little Eye Labs technology will help us to continue improving our Android codebase to make more efficient, higher-performing apps.'
