Diane Hessan, President and CEO of online community specialist Communispace, is to move into the role of Chairman, and has named co-creation expert Charles Trevail as her successor.
Trevail (pictured) is the founder and former CEO of London-based co-creation consultancy Promise, which Omnicom-owned Communispace acquired in 2012, later rebranding as Promise Communispace. Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of FutureBrand and MD of Enterprise IG.
Since the takeover, Trevail has been leading the company's global expansion, and in his new role he plans to accelerate it. 'Although we have been helping businesses develop more meaningful relationships with consumers for fourteen years, we recognise the movement is still in its infancy and has huge potential around the world,' Trevail said. 'Communispace is poised to bring our services to new markets, and to significantly expand its value to our clients.'
As Chairman, Hessan plans to spend most of her time with clients and partners. Commenting on the changes, she explained that as 2013 was one of the company's best years ever, she felt it would be a good time to step aside and 'pave the way for new leadership and fresh thinking'.
