In the US, revenue management software developer ServiceSource has acquired subscription data and predictive analytics specialist Scout Analytics in a deal valued at $32m.Scout offers an SaaS application using patent-pending behavioral analytics technology to target and monetize engaged users. In 2011, the firm opened a division called Scout Research, dedicated to developing models through which publishers can predict revenues and profits based on actual or anticipated audience size and behavior.
ServiceSource will enhance its own solution for subscription clients by integrating Scout Analytics' tool analyzing the usage, spending and other behavior of more than 25 million subscribers. In addition, ServiceSource says it plans to 'significantly invest' in Scout Analytics' R&D, sales and customer support resources.
Mark Upson (pictured), President and CEO of Scout Analytics, says the combination 'will drive new levels of actionable insight that will help customer success, sales, marketing, finance and product management teams to win customers for life.'
