Neuroscience Firms Merge

Neuroscience firms Sands Research and Neurons Inc ApS, based respectively in The US and Denmark, have announced a merger, forming 'one of the largest applied neuroscience services firms serving clients around the world'.

In a joint statement, Dr. Stephen F. Sands, Chairman of Sands Research and Neurons Chairman Thomas Z. Ramsoy said the new company will be called Neurons Inc. and will be headquartered in the USA. Sands

Sands will serve as Chairman of the new corporation and Ramsoy as CEO, while Ron Wright becomes Chief Operating Officer.

The statement continues: 'We are merging two companies that have demonstrated thought leadership and provided leading edge technology in the application of neuroscience in market research and product innovation.' The firms say that the addition of Sands data will give Neurons Inc. 'the largest normative database for both EEG metrics and facial coding', incorporating more than 10,000 tests.

The firms have also announced that Neurons will shortly be releasing an app, NOA (Neurons Online App), providing a platform for neurometrics and implicit marketing.
