The Independent newspaper's parent company ESI Media has awarded brand tracking specialist Nepa the contract to co-create a consumer panel called indyViews, which will provide a platform for readers around the UK to air their views.Nepa, which specialises in building online panels for quant surveys, operates from headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as from offices in China, Finland, Germany, India, Norway and the UK.
Last September, the firm built a consumer panel for the London Evening Standard, also owned by ESI Media, allowing Londoners to provide their views on events and issues affecting their lives in the capital. The panel has also helped with planning and programme ideas for ESI Media's new television channel, ESTV's London Live, which launches tonight.
The new online indyViews panel, for readers of i, The Independent, The Independent on Sunday, and independent.co.uk, will seek to provide the same level of coverage as the London panel but on a wider regional level.
