International media analysis and business intelligence firm Commetric has appointed Sally Hammond as Managing Director in the US.Commetric, which was founded in 2005, specialises in providing customised media and social media analytics, with the aid of patented natural language processing and data visualisation technologies. The firm has sales and service operations in the UK, USA, Middle East and Asia, and an analytics and R&D office in Bulgaria.
Hammond (pictured) joins with more than a decade of experience in the media measurement and market intelligence sector. She began her career at Gartner, where she spent five years and latterly served as Corporate Marketing Director, since when she has worked at Delahaye (now Cision), and Dow Jones, providing clients with solutions to monitor and measure the effectiveness of brand and reputation. Most recently, she worked at non-profit research and advisory group The Conference Board.
In her new role, she will lead a team dedicated to supporting US-based clients. CEO Dietmar Walter comments: 'Sally brings a wealth of knowledge of working with global brand and reputation measurement initiatives and really understands how to leverage media and social media measurement for client benefit.'
