Asian market research consultancy ABN Impact is launching an office in Shanghai, China, and has appointed Stephane Courqueux as its Managing Director. The company says it aims to set up offices 'throughout Asia in the near future'.
Founded as abn Research in 2010 in Bangkok by Brooke Courtenay and CEO Maz Amirahmadi and renamed ABN Impact two years ago, the firm also has an office in Hong Kong and added one in Singapore last May.
Courqueux brings two decades of experience of consumer market research across Asian and European markets, including more than six years spent in Shanghai, and worked recently as MD of Ifop Asia. Earlier, he held senior roles at Infratest Burke, Bases, Millward Brown and Synovate. ABN Impact Chairman and former Synovate global chief Adrian Chedore says the appointment is part of the firm's strategy to expand its geographical coverage and the range of market sectors it serves.
Amirahmadi comments: 'ABN Impact is very pleased to have Stephane join our team. His extensive experience in developing growth strategies with leading brands in China and across Asia will perfectly complement our existing client base in Shanghai. In particular, Stephane has invaluable experience in the all important luxury and beauty sectors.'
