Taiwan-based cross-screen advertising technology firm Appier has completed a $6m Series A round of funding, for use in research and development, sales and marketing.Founded in 2012, Appier uses artificial intelligence and big data to target relevant information to specific audiences on the most appropriate screen. Headquarters are in Taipei, with offices in Singapore and San Francisco.
CEO Chih-Han Yu (pictured) says the investment, from Sequoia Capital, 'is not only a vote of confidence to the Appier team and our technology, but also a vote of confidence that world-class startups can arise from this region.'
