In India, online customer feedback platform Akosha has raised $5m, which it plans to use to improve its technology and expand its OneDirect suite of enterprise solutions.Founded in 2010 by Ankur Singla (pictured) and based in New Delhi, the company provides a platform for customer service benchmarking, online feedback, CRM and reputation management.
New funds come from Sequoia Capital, and add to a $200k seed round earlier in the year. Singla comments: 'Large enterprises in India have shown great interest and appreciation for our robust technology and platform, and our ability to benchmark their product and customer service offering. The use of our online platform by consumers has grown dramatically in the last two years, and we believe that this is just the beginning.'
According to reports in the press, Akosha is also planning to use the funds to set up a consumer insight research centre, to advance understanding of consumers' pre-purchase decisions.
