In the US, sentiment and influence analytics specialist Global News Intelligence (GNI) has been acquired by big data technology firm Novetta Solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.GNI's technology solutions have been developed to help clients quantify and understand sentiment and influence by location, across social and traditional media. The firm currently employs 50 professionals across the US, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and South Asia.
Following the acquisition, GNI will continue to be managed by founder Bryan Rich and CEO Matthew Ennis, and both firms' technology solutions will be integrated.
