In Beijing, former Nielsen exec René Bos has joined Internet content and app delivery service ChinaCache as Vice President, Global Corporate Development, to lead the company's worldwide marketing initiatives.The firm, which also has offices in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and San Jose, is a content delivery network (CDN) service provider, which has built 600 service nodules in more than 146 cities across the globe, with a focus on mainland China.
Bos (pictured) joins after five years running his own consultancy for EU companies seeking business opportunities in Asia, and Chinese companies seeking business opportunities in Europe. Prior to this, he was MD, Asia Pacific of Survey Sampling International; a Partner and Research Consultant at tourism network TTSI; Executive Director, Asia Pacific at Nielsen in China; and Director of Multi-Country Research and Business Process Development at TNS. Earlier in his career, Bos held senior positions at TNS NIPO in the Netherlands.
In his new role, Bos will oversee the company's global marketing programs, and assist in planning and executing the development needed to support ChinaCache's global growth strategy. The firm has also appointed Verizon veteran Yali Liu as Vice President, Global Business Development.
