Ipsos has appointed Hagop Harmandarian as its new MD in Saudi Arabia, replacing Samir Tass who is leaving after three years in the role.Ipsos MENA (Middle East and North Africa) said Tass had 'reached the end of his term' but had been working with Harmandarian for the last month to ensure a smooth handover.
The new MD has worked since 2011 as GfK's Managing Director for the Levant countries (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan & Iraq). Prior to this, he spent a dozen years at MEMRB/IRI, initially in Cyprus as Client Service Manager but from 2000 as General Manager in Russia & Belarus. He began his research career in 1997 with two years at Rai Consultants in Cyprus. He holds a BA in Business Administration from Lebanon's Haigazian University.
