In London, online community and consumer collaboration specialist Communispace has hired Franco Bonadio as Chief Creative Officer, responsible for setting the vision, goals and priorities of the firm's creative teams around the world.Owned by Omnicom and based in Boston, Massachusetts, Communispace offers services ranging from private online communities to storytelling capabilities, immersion events and innovation projects, to help clients harness the 'creativity, inspiration and ideas of the people they serve'. As well as its offices in Boston and London, the company has other US offices in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and San Francisco, and international offices in Amsterdam, Cape Town, Mexico City, Paris, São Paulo, Shanghai and Sydney.
Bonadio (pictured) joins after leading creative departments and key client accounts at both Landor Associates and Interbrand, and founding branding agency Inception. Earlier, he was CEO and Executive Creative Director at branding agency Identica, and Global Creative Director of The Body Shop, where he led a transformation from niche business to global brand; and its subsequent acquisition by L'Oreal. Earlier, he worked as Managing Creative Director for WPP-owned The Brand Union.
In his new role Bonadio reports to CEO Charles Trevail, who comments: 'Franco's expertise will help us make consumers' ideas tangible and actionable. Our mission is to turn consumer insights into business impact and Franco will grow our creative offerings globally, using creativity to help transform brands' products and services and help our clients realize the full potential of co-creation.'
