US sampling and data collection provider Critical Mix has appointed former Market Strategies International COO Kevin Orians as Head of its Customer Care team.Critical Mix, which was previously known as reinvention, was launched in 2012 by Greenfield Online veterans Hugh Davis and Keith Price to provide a 'more human-to-human' approach to sample acquisition. Last year, the firm bought SurveyMonkey's ZoomPanel community, which it has since combined with its own online panel sample in the US, UK, France, Canada and Australia.
Orians (pictured) joins from Market Strategies International, where he managed the research services, quality, analytics and research management functions. Prior to this, he was Kantar Operations EVP, North America, leading the integration of TNS and Kantar Operations after the former's acquisition. Earlier, he served as TNS' SVP of Operations, and held senior ops roles at TNS NFO and NFO WorldGroup.
In his new position, Orians is responsible for developing business strategy, operations, staffing and leadership for the Customer Care team which is based in Los Angeles, CA; Perrysburg, OH; and Warwick, RI. Price comments: 'After holding executive level positions with many global market research firms, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and leadership qualities to our organization.'
