UK Software Firm Chibwe Unveils Tabs Tool

Bristol-based analysis and software firm Chibwe has announced the beta launch of a web-based tabs and charts solution called OsmiumTables.

Chibwe was set up last year by former Voxco and Pulse Group exec Nigel Legg (pictured), who also previously held technical management positions at RONIN Corporation, and served as a DP Executive at ORC International. Earlier in his career, Legg founded a firm called Katugas Research Services, to offer multi-lingual coding services. His new firm has already developed a number of data collection and analysis applications, and is currently building a consultancy practice to help companies manage and use their data more efficiently.

OsmiumTables has been designed to draw from survey data in Triple-S format, but the company has built a converter which reads in any CSV file. The platform also includes a verbatim management module, which allows users to view verbatim responses by demographic segment, and run text analytics on them, in order to answer questions such as: 'are older men using different words to describe our brand?'

Commenting on the launch, Legg said: 'Having been there ourselves, we understand the financial pressures on independent consultants, so with OsmiumTables there is no contract and you can use it only when you need it.'
