In the US, Ipsos MarketQuest President Matt McNerney has left the group to pursue other opportunities. McNerney joined Ipsos seven years ago as President of its Loyalty Division.The departure follows consolidation of Ipsos' MarketQuest and Innoquest units over the last two years. McNerney had been president of MarketQuest for 12 months before leaving on January 15th. Previously, he led Ipsos Loyalty through difficult times and managed the integration of the Synovate Loyalty business into Ipsos following the 2011 merger of the two groups. He has also taken a lead in building the group's response to the growth of EFM (enterprise feedback management) software companies.
Before joining Ipsos, McNerney spent fourteen years at TNS, latterly as the US President of their Areas of Expertise and previously as President of its TNS Advertising and Brand and Division. He began his career in advertising and moved over to research when he joined Yankelovich Partners.
McNerney told DRNO he will be spending time on gardening leave in Florida before announcing his next move.
