Berlin-based zeotap, a technology company that helps mobile network operators make use of their data assets, has launched a US office and hired former Sprint exec Serge Bushman to lead it.
The firm, which was founded by former execs of Vodafone, IBM and Fyber (RNTS Media) and is backed by the HitFox group and a number of business angels, helps mobile network companies monetize their data and develop offerings for the apps and advertising arena.
Bushman, who becomes zeotap's SVP Business Development, was Director of Strategy and New Business Development at Pinsight Media+, a subsidiary of telecoms giant Sprint, following the latter's acquisition of mobile app development and advertising company OneLouder Apps, where he was Director of New Business. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Business School.
In his new role, Bushman will develop relationships with carriers in North America, build a team and bring the company's proprietary technology to the US market. Co-founder and CEO Daniel Heer comments: 'We're thrilled to have Serge join our team to establish our presence in the US and add yet more depth to our leadership team. His experience and expertise will be critical to our mission to drive value for our clients and partners.'
