NewsHunt Acquires Mobile Analytics Platform Vauntz

Bangalore-based news aggregator app NewsHunt has acquired mobile big data platform Vauntz. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2013 by Shreyas Desai, Maruti Borker and Piyush RaiVauntz, Vauntz offers big data analytics as a service, along with a Youtube analytics tool called Hurricane Viz, a consumer opinion sharing platform called Vaunt.it, and a social media shopping app.

NewsHunt's flagship Verse Innovation product offers news from more than 200 news sources in twelve languages. Earlier this year, the company raised Rs 120 crores in a funding round, and will now integrate the Vauntz solutions into its platform, to provide more targeted and personalised experiences to users in a language of their choice.
