Susan Shaw, the co-MD of GIM Suisse, has been elected as President of the Swiss Association of Market and Social Research (Verbands der Schweizer Markt- und Sozialforschung, or vsms).The body comprises more than 300 individual members, mostly comprising research agency managers, independent MR consultants and academics. As well as representing members it runs a PR campaign to raise the positive profile and perception of the industry in the country.
Shaw (pictured) has spent the last two years at Zürich-based GIM Suisse - she joined the firm in 2013 as Senior Research Manager and was promoted to her current role at the beginning of last year. Prior to this, she spent eleven years at publishing and printing company tamedia, latterly as Market Research Project Manager, and before this she spent six years at Zürich Insurance.
Shaw, who replaces GfK veteran and Management Tools ag. Managing Director Roland Rosset, says she is delighted to have the opportunity to help the association continue to strengthen the profession and improve the industry's image.
