In New York, audience engagement platform Genesis Media has launched an analytics solution called Page Attention Rank (P-A-R), which scores web page content quality in real-time, while measuring consumer attention. The new solution provides advertisers and publishers with insight into audience engagement for specific content. At its core is the firm's proprietary Genesis Attention Platform (G-A-P), which uses data science to determine exactly when a viewer should be shown an ad based on their likeliness to engage.
P-A-R calculates attention in real-time for each web page and targets advertisements to pages that have the highest amount of user attention. This algorithm analyzes user motivation to access a particular page, combined with the amount of attention and engagement the page content generates, which translates into a Genesis Media P-A-R score. For publishers, P-A-R provides insight into which pages have the highest quality traffic, allowing them to optimize inventory for higher ranked pages in real-time.
CEO Mark Yackanich (pictured) comments: 'To date, the primary metric for assessing the value of content in the industry has simply been traffic, which is helpful but can be a bit misleading at times. With P-A-R we're offering a new layer of intelligence that really shows motivation to engage, and we're creating a new standard for the industry'.
