In the UK, MR training and consultancy organisation the Insight Management Academy has appointed former Barclays Bank customer analysis specialist James Wycherley as Chief Executive Officer.Founded by researchers Steve Wills and Sally Webb, the Slimbridge, Gloucester-based academy provides membership and consultancy to all those tasked with making better decisions using insight. In 2013, it launched the Agency Group, which offers members workshops, assessments and the chance to 'work closely with major clients'.
Wycherley (pictured) joins from Barclays Bank, where he was Director of Customer and Market Analysis, driving the development and application of customer insight for more than ten years. Earlier, he worked in performance improvement for Derbyshire Building Society.
In his new role, Wycherley has a mandate to develop and grow the academy's membership and range of services. Commenting on his appointment, Wycherley said: 'I have huge admiration for Steve Wills and Sally Webb and look forward to working closely with them to grow the academy and leverage their fantastic library of research.'
