In the US, retail and healthcare data giant IRI has appointed long-time P&G exec Joan Lewis as a Senior Advisor.Lewis (pictured) has 25 years' experience of strategic planning, brand building, media and consumer behavior analysis. She joined consumer product giant P&G (Procter & Gamble) in 1987, and most recently held the lengthy title of SVP Consumer & Market Knowledge, Media Transformation, Brand Building Reinvention. She has also served as a Board Observer at MarketTools, and a Board member at the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) and comScore.
At IRI, Lewis will work closely with President & CEO Andrew Appel and the management team, to enhance the firm's portfolio of technology and data-enabled products and services. Additionally, she will support client projects, pursue new business opportunities, and work alongside IRI's Media Center of Excellence.
Appel says Lewis is 'a uniquely-qualified advisor' and comments: 'Her hands-on experience, ability to convert media and consumer insights into competitive advantage, thought leadership and organization development capabilities provide a valuable complement to our existing capabilities.'
