Ipsos has brought together several of its retail measurement services to form a new Market Measurement business unit, which will be managed globally.The new unit, which will house the firm's category specific retail panels and food service monitors, as well as its Turkish consumer panel, will invest in new tools and methods. Vural Çakir is tasked with developing the global system as Chief Strategy Officer, working alongside Renan Burduroglu, CEO of Ipsos Market Measurement; while Shane Farrell, CEO of EMEA, will serve as Global Head of the unit.
Chairman and CEO Didier Truchot comments: 'Clients have a strong need for a new way of measuring retail sales and consumer purchases, with new tools providing comprehensive and consistent coverage across markets and environments.
