Tech consultancy Gartner has acquired Barcelona, Spain-based Nubera, whose flagship platform GetApp helps organizations find and compare software and apps, and choose the right products for their needs. Terms were not disclosed.GetApp is used by millions of businesses to track down and buy applications, while service providers use it to generate leads, build their own app store, develop integration partners and run co-marketing programs.
Gartner described the services provided by Nubera as 'highly complementary' to its own Software Advice business.
Nubera co-founder Christophe Primault (pictured) comments: 'The acquisition of GetApp is consistent with Gartner's strategy of investing in world-class products and services that help clients make the right technology-related decisions, every day. Over the coming months, Gartner will invest substantial resources in our team, programs and technology in order for us to provide greater value'.
