Capita Buys Business Intelligence Firm Barrachd

In the UK, outsourcing giant Capita has acquired business intelligence and analytics company Barrachd, for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Edinburgh and London, Barrachd develops software to help customers track key business issues, and as an IBM business partner has a dedicated Cognos consultancy team. The company employs 38 members of staff, and following the acquisition will join Capital's Digital & Software Solutions division. It will continue to led by current directors Grant Smith, Clark Wilson and Robbie Crawford.
