Nielsen Hires Legal Chief

The Nielsen Company has appointed Eric Dale, formerly a Partner at Robinson & Cole LLP, as its new Chief Legal Officer, effective August 1st.

Dale brings more than twenty years' experience helping to build, manage and structure global companies, including strategic financing, M&A, operational and technology transactions and regulatory matters - from firms including Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. For the past eight years, Nielsen has been one of his clients. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Clark University and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

Nielsen CEO Mitch Barns, to whom Dale now reports, says of the new arrival: 'Eric's broad experience and perspective make him not only a great chief legal officer, but also a strong business leader. We are thrilled to have him join our leadership team'.
