WPP's Wunderman Health business has acquired a majority stake in Brussels-based full service digital healthcare agency ABS Creative, whose services include strategy, user experience, creative, design and data analytics. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Founded in 1999 and led by CEO Michael Verschueren (pictured), ABS Creative employs 24 staff, and for the year ended 31st December 2014 had consolidated revenues of c.EUR 2.8m.
In a statement, WPP said the acquisition strengthens Wunderman Health's digital, CRM and data healthcare capabilities in Brussels. ABS Creative will now operate as an 'integrated centre of excellence' within Wunderman Health.
Commenting on the deal, Verschueren said: 'We look forward to bringing our skills, creativity and services to a wider audience of marketers through Wunderman Health. Our ability to connect directly with consumers by creating relevant, measurable creative, which resonates across all digital channels, fits perfectly with Wunderman.'
