Further evidence of the increasing recognition given to User Experience skills: ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty has promoted its own Head of UX Adam Powers to be the company's first Chief Experience Officer.According to www.brandrepublic.com , Powers' new position involves advising clients on every aspect of the customer journey, including in-store, customer services, internal culture and new products as well as digital channels.
Powers began his career in the music industry, and worked for the BBC - developing the Top Gear digital experience and leading the design of BBC iPlayer - before joining BBH four years ago. BBH London Chief Strategy Officer Jason Gonsalves says the promotion recognises the 'huge impact' Powers has made, including helping the firm to develop new capabilities and move away from the traditional ad agency model towards helping clients with business transformation. Gonsalves adds: 'He is a world-class expert in his field, a user experience practitioner with peerless credentials. But what makes Adam special is that he is more than that. He is a collaborator, a connector - someone who is constantly curious and hugely generous'.
We hope we can refer to the position as CXO - ticking off another in our C-Suite alphabet.
