Interpublic division IPG Mediabrands has hired media auditor Charles Godbold for the newly created role of Global Director of Media Intelligence Systems. He will take up the post in October, after relocating from Sydney, Australia to London.Godbold (pictured) previously founded a media analytics specialist called Media Pilot, as well as media auditing firm Mediasenz. Earlier, he set up Faulkner Godbold, which became Faulkners Media Management after his departure in 2002. More recently, he ran his own consultancy Godbold Pty Ltd.
In his new role, Godbold will oversee the roll-out of the division's auditing software across the Mediabrands network; while his own auditing technology will be re-branded Magnifiq and be made available exclusively to all Mediabrands' agencies.
