In the US, Spanish-language media group Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) has promoted Belia Jimenez to the role of Vice President of Corporate Research.
The New York City-based company has sixteen broadcast, cable and digital networks, and 61 TV stations, as well as various online and mobile apps. Jimenez (pictured) joined in 2008 as Director, Consumer Insights Research, before moving into the role of Director, Data Solutions, and more recently serving as Director, Corporate Research. Before UCI, she worked for ABC Radio Networks as Director of Multicultural Research, and she held senior brand and marketing roles at Premiere Radio Networks, iHeart Media, Turner Broadcasting, Viacom - MTV Networks and Viacom - Nickelodeon.
Jimenez will remain based in New York, reporting to Kevin Conroy, Chief Strategy & Data Officer and President, Enterprise Development. Her promotion follows that of Roberto Ruiz, who moved into the role of Executive Vice President, Strategy and Insights in July.
In a statement, UCI said: 'Under Belia's leadership, UCI launched its first ever research community that helps deliver insights to divisions across the company. Additionally, she has assisted in the development of breakthrough findings and insights with UCI's first corporate tracking study, in partnership with Edison Research'.
