London-based opinion research specialist BritainThinks has appointed Victoria Thrift as Associate Director in charge of its Financial Services practice.The firm, which was launched in 2010 by Opinion Leader Research (OLR) co-founders Deborah Mattinson and Viki Cooke, along with their former colleague Ben Shimshon, offers strategic advice based on insight gained from stakeholders, consumers, citizens and employees for political, corporate and not-for-profit clients. It also has a WorldThinks international division, which has a specific focus on reputation research.
Thrift (pictured) joins from investments, insurance and reinsurance markets specialist NMG Consulting, where she worked for three years as Associate Director. Prior to this, she spent eight years at GfK - initially as an SRE, and latterly as Research Manager in the Financial division.
Commenting on the appointment, Cooke said: 'We are delighted to welcome Victoria who will lead our Financial Services practice. She's a terrific addition to our fast growing team.'
