In London, former Incite directors Paul Thomas and David Walker have teamed up with researcher Giuseppe Tonolini to launch a new insight activation agency called Strive.
Thomas worked at Incite for the past eight years, prior to which, he held senior roles at Simpson Carpenter, RS Consulting, Research International and Total Research; while Walker also worked at Incite for nearly eight years, and was previously UK MD at Research International, where he spent twelve years, after serving as Research Manager at Benchmark Research. Tonolini was Market Research Director at Milan-based The Marketing Lab for the past eighteen years, prior to which, he held senior roles at Whirlpool Corporation, Carlsberg Breweries, Kodak, and British Petroleum.
Thomas says the reason they have set up the new Waterloo-based agency is to provide clients with a combination of insights and business action. 'Often businesses commission expensive new primary research as a way of solving problems. But many of the answers may already exist within the organisation, and all that's required is the skill to identify them. We use that existing knowledge to make our new research work harder. We want to focus more on 'the unknowns' to unearth new opportunities,' Thomas adds.
