In the US, competitive intelligence specialist Buyers Laboratory (BLI) has acquired InfoTrends, which supplies market analysis, research and advisory services to the digital imaging industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
InfoTrends, which was previously a division of Questex, combines a global team of more than 125 professionals and a portfolio of products and services covering planning, competitive intelligence and research, customer engagement and product development for the digital imaging industry.
Gerry Stoia, President and CEO of Buyers Laboratory, says the combination of BLI's testing capabilities and product knowledge with InfoTrends' market and research expertise will allow the firms to innovate across a broader portfolio of products and services.
Jeff Hayes, President of InfoTrends says the firms have 'many shared values around client service, quality research and the excellence of our professional staff'. He adds: 'We are excited about the many opportunities created by the combination of these two great companies'.
