US consumer insights specialist Kelton Global has appointed former Edelman Berland COO Brett Davis as its first Chief Operating Officer, responsible for strategic business planning and resource allocation, as well as overseeing its finance and operations.Kelton, which has offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and London, combines expertise in qual and quant research, design, strategy, branding, cultural insights and communications. Davis (pictured) joins after nearly seven years at PR firm Edelman, most recently as CFO and Worldwide COO of the research and analytics arm Edelman Berland. Earlier, he founded a food and beverage distribution company, which was ultimately acquired by a food manufacturer, and co-founded a private equity firm that owned and operated a portfolio of companies focused on industrial mineral production. In addition, he was a Senior Financial Analyst at UBS Investment Bank.
