In the UK, the ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) has appointed its current Executive Director of Audit, Finance & ICT Simon Redlich as interim Chief Executive Officer from 1st January, after the departure of Jerry Wright.
ABC is the media industry-owned body that sets standards and verifies both data and processes for media brands and intermediaries across multiple platforms. Wright, who has presided over the body's transformation from a predominantly print-based circulation auditor, announced in June that he would be stepping down from the post at the end of 2015 after seven years with the organisation.
Redlitch (pictured) has been a part of the senior director team implementing the changes, and has been at ABC for ten years, leading a 60-strong team of auditors. He will build on the work done to date, with ABC now delivering both multi-platform 'publisher brand' measurement and pioneering work on brand safety and viewability in digital ad trading.
Sally Cartwright, the organisation's Chairman since 2010, says Redlich 'has a wealth of experience at ABC and will provide much needed consistency and continuity as ABC continues to deliver to the evolving needs of the industry'.
