WPP Firm Buys Majority Stake in System Analytic

WPP-owned healthcare communications firm Sudler Hennessey has acquired a majority stake in London-based System Analytic, which helps clients engage with opinion leaders in the sector. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

System Analytic's Firefly database and online tools enable pharmaceutical companies to identify, map, and engage 'key opinion leaders' (KOLs) across a broad range of medical fields / therapy areas.

Founded in 2007, the company employs around twenty people in London, including country-specific research specialists, language-specific support staff, and senior primary interviewers who conduct face-to-face discussions with experts. For the year ended 5th April 2015, the firm's unaudited revenue was £2.1m. WPP said in a statement that the acquisition continues its strategy of developing its services in fast growing and important sectors and markets.
