IT industry research and analysis specialist Gartner has reported a 10% rise in fourth quarter revenue to $643.8m, driven by a 13% revenue increase in its Research division to $420.5m. For the full year 2015, Research revenue was up 10% to $1.58bn.In the Research business, the quarterly gross contribution margin was 68%, while contract value was $1.761bn at December 31st, 2015, up 10% on a year previously. Meanwhile the Consulting division reported flat Q4 revenue of $87.9m and a 6% drop in annual revenue to $348.3m; and its Events team saw quarter four revenue rise 11% to $135.3m and annual revenue also up 11%, to $227.7m.
Overall for the group, full year 2015 revenue was up 7% to $2.163bn, and Normalized EBITDA increased 5% to $407.5m. CEO Gene Hall (pictured) commented: 'Gartner continued its trend of strong results in 2015 and executed on a number of key strategic initiatives designed to drive long term growth. I remain confident that we will continue to deliver strong results in 2016 and beyond'.
