In the US, full service research firm Regina Corso Consulting has appointed former Harris Interactive/Nielsen exec Andrew Edwards as Senior Vice President, PR and Communications Research.Launched last summer, Regina Corso Consulting provides omnibus and custom research for media outreach efforts, local media tours, social media/digital campaigns and thought leadership. Edwards (pictured) joins from the Public Relations and Affairs practice at Harris Interactive/Nielsen, where he worked directly with PR and marcoms agencies on comms, marketing, digital and ad initiatives; and on the development of surveys and research used primarily for public release. Earlier, he ran his own agency Surge Research; was SVP, Research & Client Development at Kelton Research; and he held senior roles at PR agencies Ruder Finn, Porter Novelli, Fleishman Hillard, and Edelman.
In his new role Edwards will provide clients with data to support and drive their communications programs. President and founder Regina Corso, who worked with him at Harris, comments: 'Andrew brings deep industry experience to his role; he possesses a unique ability to effortlessly merge research and public relations initiatives.
