New York based fashion and lifestyle blogger platform Bloglovin' has acquired social media influencer marketing technology platform Sverve. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Sverve connects businesses with the right social media influencers, in order to promote their products and services online. The platform automatically matches brand campaigns with influencers, and the firm's web site and app helps influencers manage revenue-generating blogs.
Currently, Sverve has access to more than 25,000 influencers, which when combined with Bloglovin's 750,000 registered content creators, will enable the latter individuals to monetize their blogs through local and nationwide social media campaigns. Through the deal, Bloglovin' will help content creators grow their online following, while giving brands the opportunity to partner with relevant influencers and reach their target audiences.
Following the acquisition, Sverve will be renamed Activate By Bloglovin' and the division will be led by Sverve CEO and co-founder Rohit Vashisht (pictured), who comments: 'The combined company is a global powerhouse of influencer marketing. Our platform combined with our services team helps brands and agencies target the right influencers, measure results in real-time and get the best ROI on their marketing spend.'
