Strategy and innovation agency The Sound has appointed Matt Palmer as Vice President / Head of Strategy in its Chicago office.Founded in 2006, the company now has offices in New York, Chicago, London, Mumbai, Toronto and Vancouver. As well as its research and strategy offerings, The Sound will soon launch a dedicated media division, that will harness its anthropological and filmmaking expertise to produce documentaries and culture-focused content.
Palmer (pictured) joins with nearly two decades of agency planning and strategy experience. Most recently, he was Co-Head of Strategy & Planning at digital agency Blast Radius, and before this he served as VP, Planning Director at DDB Chicago and Draftfcb, and held planning roles at Leo Burnett and JWT. He has a degree in anthropology and also spent time with indigenous populations of the desert Southwest and Andes mountains, helping survey their cultural resources.
