Independent agency Firefish has appointed Beth Broughton as Managing Director of its US business, based in Brooklyn, New York. She replaces Liam Daley, who has chosen to leave the business.
The London-based firm, which also has offices in Amsterdam and Singapore, launched as a qual agency in 2000 and added quant division TheNumbersLab a decade later. It also owns a kids and family specialist, The Pineapple Lounge, and an in-house insight films specialist, Firefilms.
Broughton (pictured) joins from boutique London qual research agency Spinach, where she served as Director of Impact; and before this was a Partner at The Leading Edge. Earlier, she held senior roles at SCB Partners and Oscar Marketing Solutions, and she spent eight years in the tobacco sector, latterly as Head of Brands UK for British American Tobacco.
In her new role, Broughton will be responsible for leading and developing Firefish's US offering. She replaces Daley, who joined the firm in 2013 after stints at The Leading Edge and Hall & Partners. Global CEO Jem Fawcus comments: 'Beth's client-side and strategic experience will build on our continuing drive to deliver smarter, user-ready thinking and insight'.
