WPP-owned Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) has appointed Democratic pollster Margie Omero to lead its US Public Affairs practice. She is based in Washington DC.Founded in 1975, PSB provides market and opinion research-based consultancy services to help corporate, entertainment and political clients hone their messaging and communications strategies. The firm claims to have helped elect more than 30 presidents and prime ministers around the world, including Bill Clinton.
Omero (pictured) joins after serving as MD of Purple Insights, the research division of reputation management and strategic communications firm Purple Strategies. Prior to this, she founded boutique Democratic polling firm Momentum Analysis, where she was lead researcher for nearly three dozen Congressional races, having begun her career with The Mellman Group. Omero frequently appears on news channels such as CNN, MSNBC, Fox and NPR, and co-hosts 'The Pollsters', a political podcast discussing those polling stories driving the week's news in politics, technology, business and pop culture.
In her new role as Executive Vice President, Omero will focus on expanding PSB's policy and political work in Washington DC and across the US. She will report to CEO Curtis Freet, who comments: 'PSB has a strong heritage in politics and public affairs, and Margie is a great addition to our team'.
