London-based consultancy FreshMinds has promoted Catherine Crump to the position of Chief Executive Officer, replacing co-founder Caroline Plumb who moves into the role of Executive Chair.
Founded in 2000 by Plumb and Charlie Osmond, FreshMinds offers qual and quant techniques, business analysis and strategic consultancy. Last year, the firm launched an ideation approach called Spark, promising to help brands in the early stages of the innovation process by generating ideas for new products and services.
Crump (pictured) joined in 2005 as a Senior Consultant, and most recently served as Deputy Managing Director, having previously been the firm's Director of Client Services and Director of Consumer Research. She began her career as a Management Consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers before joining Masterfoods as an Account Manager.
Plumb says she will remain 'strongly involved' in the business, continuing to build key client relationships while acting as the company's ambassador. Commenting on the changeover she said: 'I'm delighted to appoint a new CEO to lead the business. The time is right for a new leadership that will enable me to focus on the FreshMinds group a whole as well as ambassador roles both within and outside the research industry'.
