Online community and survey tech provider Toluna has opened an office in Dubai, UAE, where it has hired former employee Nader Kobeissi as General Manager.
Toluna offers access to a consumer community of ten million members across 59 countries, combined with its market research survey and analytics platform. The firm has nineteen offices in Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and MENA; and has expanded to Dubai after investing in in-region respondent and community recruitment efforts.
Kobeissi joins in Dubai after two years at mobile research and sample specialist On Device Research, where he latterly served as Global Managing Director. Prior to this, he was Ipsos Interactive Services' Regional Director, MENA, before which, he spent time as Research Now VP MENA, and as Toluna's Senior Director for North America and Europe. After leaving university, he set up an online search engine called Thedaleel.com, which became Lebanon's twelfth most visited web site between 2003 and 2004.
CEO Frédéric-Charles Petit comments: 'The investments we're making in MENA are helping fuel the continued growth we're experiencing, as a result of our mission to provide customers with true, real-time research solutions. Nader was one of the first people hired at Toluna, and worked with me to establish Toluna in North America years ago. We're thrilled that he's returned to the company as a pivotal player who will help to grow Toluna's presence in the Middle East.'
